Recipient of 250,000 LoyalTI First Bonus Points Speaks About Winning Travel Impressions’ Agents First Contest
FARMINGDALE, NY (June 26, 2017) — Travel Impressions (www.TravelImpressions.com) routinely rewards travel agents and incentivizes bookings as its core principle. Recently, the leading agent-exclusive tour operator offered a "mega" reward of a quarter-million bonus LoyalTI First points via their Agents First promotion, launched on Travel Agent Day.
LoyalTI First points can be redeemed for a variety of rewards from Travel Impressions' electronic Folio Reward Catalog. Sample rewards within the 250,000 point range include a Kenmore® front-loading washer and dryer set, a Bose® SoundTouch entertainment system or more than $2,000 in gift cards for use with assorted airlines, restaurants and national retailers.
The contest winner, Meghan Mele at AAA North Penn Stroudsburg, spoke about how it felt to have won this jackpot of points and why her agency's partnership with Travel Impressions is such a vital component of its business model.
"I'm very competitive, so just the idea of winning was nice … but I had no idea just how much 250,000 points was actually worth. Now, I feel a bit like a kid in a candy store," said Mele.
Notified in person by Richelle Nicoletta, her Travel Impressions Business Development Manager (North/Central New Jersey and Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania), with fresh flowers and warm wishes after Scott Wiseman, the company's president, announced on Facebook Live that Mele had won the contest.
"There are so many incredible options; it's hard to know where to start," said the elated travel agent, who joined the team at AAA North Penn in Stroudsburg, PA in February.
"I thought about using [the rewards points] all at once, but I think I'll be using them in pieces," she said. "I already ordered myself a tablet, because I desperately needed one. And since I was already planning on the getting myself a nice camera for my upcoming birthday, I plan on using some points for that as well. But there are so many choices; I think I'll save the rest for the time being. I want to take my time to really look through what’s available before I decide."

For Mele, a recent entrant into the travel retail industry who previously worked in the related field of vacation sales after devoting 10 years to the teaching profession, the reward reinforces the rationale behind her agency's longstanding partnership with Travel Impressions.
"Any time I need to speak to someone directly, the customer service is excellent," explained Mele, noting how critical this level of support is for travel planners.
Mele had significant praise for Nicoletta in particular. "Every interaction I've had with her has been great. She's always very invested in hearing our feedback," she said.
"Just that knowing I can always trust TI to treat myself and my clients with excellent customer service is a big relief," added Mele.
